What have you created lately?
I love working on creative projects! Over the years I have done gourd art, calligraphy, cross stitching, made purses and bags from recycled jeans and have created locker hooking tapestries.
This week I have been attending virtual arts and crafts workshops and have learned so much! Since I am working on a lot of projects made from recycled clothes, I especially enjoyed a workshop on making a landscape picture out of fabric. Here’s the piece I have just finished. It’s only 5x7, but it was a lot of fun making it.
I hope others will share their latest projects!

Thank you! I use my crafts for mental health and relaxation. I made enough ornaments to cover an 8 foot tree for my grandsons game room, but only a small thin tree (6 foot tall) one for my back enclosed deck, for myself. I used to do craft shows when my kids were young - they paid for Christmas for about 10 years - and then I sold my ornaments on consignment to a gift shop. Stopped doing that when the owner kept asking for more and more of them. The money was good, but the stress of trying to keep up to her orders was not, as it stopped being fun.
My kids have talked me into doing a few craft shows this year. Not sure how it will go, as I have to go alone.

I'm hoping local TV will broadcast some more of them.
I'll let you know.

2 ReactionsI hope you can sell your ornaments on your own terms! I love creating and interacting with people who appreciate my work.
What type of crafts do you do? I love growing a garden. Thought about selling veggies but I know it would end up too much work.
I paint just about everyday. It makes me happy!

7 ReactionsSame here. It seems only fellowship crafters see the joy and excitement in discussing our work and creative process. At least that’s what my husband tells me, as he rolls his eyes. This from the man who shows me endless videos on fly fishing.

2 ReactionsI make soft sculptured felt Christmas ornaments and stuffed animals and toys. I also love to garden - both flowers and veggies. My husband is mad about this year’s garden - okay I might have gone overboard at bit - 36 tomato plants and all the rest. He’s upset because since planting it all, I’ve developed some health issues. Will be getting a pacemaker tomorrow, due to a dangerous heart rhythm, and I now have bad hip pain. This means he has to help me with the garden - his least favorite activity!

2 ReactionsI wish I could paint, but my work leaves a lot to be desired. Give me materials and yarn and I’m in a state of bliss.

2 ReactionsSounds lovely. I have never been good at crafts,
I have had to reduce the size of my garden drastically. I used to put in 120 tomato plants, squash, peppers, are just a ton of things. I do not know how I did it. It has caused me back problems for years all that bending. My neighbors have 3 ft raised beds made out of stone, too expensive for me. I have 22 tomato plants this year. Just have to cut back.
