One month - you’re brave! But sounds like you’re needed.
My son lives in Philadelphia, we live in Colorado and I texted him to let me know if/when a shower is planned because I’d love to come. He responded that’s fine, but didn't I want to make the trip once the baby’s here?
I wrote back - ‘I can make more than 1 trip!’
I can’t wait - have fun on your venture!

Thanks but Mummy insisted on carrying through for her friend. And this is the family that looked out for my daughter at school when I couldn’t. So I was invited too. Very meaningful people to us both. Baby will be tucked safely away from too many people as Mummy is a RN. So we are all in good hands!! And oh yes being there for our kids as much as we can. I have a 24 yr old that was devastated by my diagnosis and see this sister and her older sister have kids and have me all over them. Think she worries I’ll not be around for her. Her BFF lost her Mum at 18 and was very involved. (I’m not allowed to tell her friend about my diagnosis… she thinks of me as her Mum now too). So I NEED to take excellent care of myself for my future grandchildren too. And apparently my kids friends children ?? All the best. We need to ‘stay in the game’ as much as we can. Take care.
