Do the sunflower seeds curb your urge for nuts?

I agree with you on the snack foods and not buy them. Problem is I am married to a sugar and chocaholic. She also likes nuts and peanuts.

I hate to admit this but she does try to hide them. But knowing they are there somewhere I will find them. I did find a corn chip that has 105 calories for 21 chips and a pop corn called skinny pop that has 39 calories for each cup.

I like the sound of eating a fresh fruit and think I will try that.
Thanks

Oh man….your spouse not being able to join you with healthy diet….man. That’s unfortunate. I think you posted she has type 2 diabetes. Maybe that can inspire her to join you in better nutrition. I’m no judge though. It’s everyone’s personal choice. I have a lot of extended family members who are extremely obese with health issues. It’s heartbreaking. They are totally NOT interested in healthful foods or lifestyle. Sigh.

I find the nuts a good accent to my salads. Just a little extra interest and taste. I use just a little. My salad satisfies me. I also add protein and a good well balanced diet.

I find that I rarely ate from hunger. It was boredom or habit. If stressed, I ate little. Happy, I celebrated with treats. Not large meals.

Good luck with everything. I hope you find a solution.

I allow myself 1 ounce of nuts daily. I figure it into my calories because of the good fat and other benefits. I also have Triscuit Crisps..they are thinner. 130 calories per ounce. I bag a whole box up in one ounce packages. Have you ever tried roasted Edamame? I like the ranch and they have other flavors. They are prepackaged in less than an ounce but it’s enough. 110 calories, 11 grams of protein and fiber to help with the GLP constipation. Good luck!
