I had HOLEP in early Dec 2024. Leakage/incontinence was terrible. I was going through 6 to. 7 diapers per day. I was doing my Kegel exercises everyday until my incontinence got controllable. That was 6 months of kegels. I was seeing a PT for the first 2 months to ensure I was exercising correctly. I also walked 5 days a week. I have some hills here also, but it didn’t bother me. When I got to the 7 month post HOLEP my control really got better. I now only wear liners for my underwear. Just 1 liner will last the entire day. I followed Michelle Kenway’s (https://youtu.be/c0aDJrSiR1A) procedures and the incontinence turned the corner. I can finally go out and enjoy myself all day without having to change my diaper. Don’t give up. I felt the same way not seeing any improvements, but my doctor told me to keep pushing. It worked.

I´m almost 120 days from my HOLEP surgery. Still feeling burning sensation when peeing, waking up 4 times at night to pee. No UTIs, drinking lots of water, not eating spicy or acidic foods. I really don´t know when I will experience some relief of these symptoms. Chat GPT said that one can expect 6 months to heal completely, but it´s very stressful to wake up all night long.
