I just had a CT scan for possible cardiac event and what showed up in incidental findings was:
"Numerous small lymph nodes, suspected mesenteric panniculitis, recommend 1 year follow up CT scan to rule out lymphoma "

Can this turn into lymphoma and how often is this lymphoma and not panniculitis?

Hi, @reoby, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I had some surprising incidental findings when I had numerous scans after a small neuroendocrine tumor was discovered in my first colonoscopy two years ago. I wondered what else they might find if they kept scanning different parts of my body!

I would be wondering about the incidental findings you mentioned, as well, and be trying to find out all I could about them. What did your doctor say about the meaning and implications of the suspected mesenteric panniculitis findings?
