I use a Hollister two part system. Before I apply the flange, I apply calamine lotion all around my stoma area. Hit it with a blow-dryer until it is chalky dry, then apply skin prep and then the flange. Warming the flange with the blow dryer helps with adhesion for me. Recently I bought a stoma cover for showering on temu. for about $10.00. Use without the bag to cover the flange when showering. I have lived with an ostomy for twenty years. You can do this!

I have used the calamine lotion before. What skin prep do you apply?

Great tips about the blow dryer! Not only does it help it stick. It helps me during a change to remove the sticky.
