Hello,

I just wondered if statins can be taken by patients with OP and if statins interact with osteoporosis medicines. What is your doctors' opinion?
I too have a high cholesterol but am hesitant to take statins,

I take both Tymlos and a statin. There are no issues, and no interactions to worry about. I've done great with Tymlos, and statins have lowered my LDL to 60. Both my cardiologist and my endocrinologist are well aware of the meds I am taking.

Don't be afraid of statins. They are really miracle drugs. Nothing you do apart from becoming a vegan is going to lower your LDL as much as a statin.
