When Mayo accepts you as a patient, you go through tests to determine your stage of cancer and I think that is the time teams are set up. I don’t know who is in chg of setting up teams, all I know is it was done for me by a qualified Dr. My surgeon was picked for me as well. The team approach, I feel, is best for this type of cancer, which is complicated to treat and requires many minds working together.
