It is true that there is a link, but they don't know why. Probably a good idea to discuss with a cardiologist and have whatever tests he recommends for cholesterol, artery health, etc.

Thank you for that link. That sounds rather scary to me, though I am taking Vitamin K-2. I only skimmed the article as I am overdue for making my lunch, but THANK YOU for sending me the link! I've emailed it to myself to read in full at a better time. I do see a lipidologist next week, as a matter of fact, so I can ask him what he knows about it!

I would like to add this recent study adding to understanding how mechanisms of calcification of bones and vascular calcification (VC) are linked.

It has been shown earlier that supplementation with vitamin K2 can have a protective effect on VC.
I take 100 mcg of vitamin K2 and hope that it will protect me.
