You are smart to cancel with that surgeon. If his ego is so fragile and he is not willing to spend time to talk with his patients to answer their questions about their own bodies, you need to find someone who will. My surgeon has a great personality and good interpersonal skills. He takes the time to answer my questions and show me things on my X-rays/MRIs. I will stand side by side with him next to the computer screen and we have open dialogue which I appreciate. I have had other surgeons like yours and cancelled with them to continue my search for a surgeon that is a good fit for me. It is our bodies, our time, our money, etc. so the relationship is critical and you do not need to settle.

Yes!! Thank you for confirming what I suspected about this surgeon. I'm considering Mayo Clinic for consultation as to what can and cannot be done.
