I am 67, and nearly two years ago, I had a 100% blockage of my LAD—no stent or bypass was done. My ejection fraction was between 35% and 40%. I visited a local hospital affiliated with a medical college. I completed a Cardio Rehab program there. I was not prescribed dual antiplatelet medications and developed a blood clot in my heart, caused by damaged heart tissue that was not moving.
I visited the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for a follow-up appointment. Now I go to the Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and follow their advice. My ejection fraction is now 55%, total cholesterol is 84, and LDL is 34. I exercise six days a week, attending spin classes and walking on a treadmill at a 10% incline for 30 minutes at 3 MPH. Occasionally, I do a HIIT workout involving jogging for 4 minutes and walking for 3 minutes, repeated four times. I also lift adjustable dumbbells at home twice a week. My main recommendation is to visit the Mayo Clinic.
