Hi! I had a 1.8cm pnet, with 6 of 8 lymph nodes positive at the time of surgery. My KI is 6.7 I am currently 3 years post diagnosis and 2 1/2 years post surgery. Aside from surgery and continuing 6 month MRI surveillance,(I have had no other treatments )I too, ponder your question on “when”.
My next MRI is this Friday, and I get so much scan anxiety… not for the procedure, but the results. I know that whatever may or may not be happening inside my body is already potentially occurring and that finding out as soon as possible is the very best thing. …But I still find myself so, so anxious….It is a nerve wrecking experience for certain. I find I tend to live between the scans, I am able to breathe easier for about 5 months before I start thinking about the next scan and then building anxiety until the scan and results.
Having had 6 of 8 positive lymph nodes, I am a realist, and know it is not a matter of “if” but “ when”…..but as of today, I am 2 1/2 years post surgery and until I am told differently, I am still disease free.
