Gabepentin vs. Lyrica vs. Cymbalta?
Hi, I was diagnosed by my neurologist with "Idiopathic small fiber sensory neuropathy " in my feet ankles and a little in my hands. For me that means continual mild numbness of both feet and now and then tingling in my hands. Also very painful foot cramping when I go horizontal making sleep tough. After reading through this group I'm not too hopeful on finding a remedy. I'm currently on 1800 mg of Gabepentin daily, and don't think it is doing much if anything. The doctor suggested starting there and perhaps switching to Lyrica or Cymbalta. Most curious about Cymbalta for cramping pain since I think Lyrica will be fairly similar to Gabepentin... Does Cymbalta help with foot cramping and pain? Thanks!

I never thought of those side effects from Cymbalta. I’ll need to look into it. I’m also going to talk to my PCP about the Lyrica. I’m down to 600mg of Gabapentin I’m hoping to move to 400mg soon. I’m 66! Can’t believe it!
i have no interest in changing to Lyrica. i've just heard about the side effects recently. no thanks.

1 ReactionOh, I was talking about those terrible side-effects from Lyrica, not Cymbalta, which I've never tried.
