I learned at a recent visit to a very connected specialist in this field, that SBRT alone is not a good path. It obliterates the target but also has been seen to wake up dormant cells. He told me DO NOT stop chemo prior or during the treatment.

I’m now meeting with the radiologist tomorrow but wondering now if histotripsy is a better option for area growing at my liver resection area.

So many decisions, but grateful to find at least one more possible pathway. I’m on Naliri.

@gamaryanne that was good advice regarding SBRT. My drs had me on chemo during my SBRT treatment. I really am extremely intrigued about this concept of "spreading" or activating cancer cells as a side effect of doing another procedure. What is the scientific evidence or methodology behind this? I'm more interested just to be aware.
