Have you contacted Veracyte (the owners of Decipher) about that? In the brochure on their website they talk about a Veracyte Access program and my understanding from the table there is that the maximal costs to the patient should be $295:

WOW - thank you soooo much !!!! I will check it ASAP ! I am grateful beyond words can express, I hope it is not too late now, or something like that. Insurance and hospitals always find a way to sneak in some "small print" : ((. We did sign a request for the test while we were still in state of shock after that catastrophic office visit, so who knows what we signed : (((. Original doctor (regular urologist) did not want to order it but we insisted on having it and I am glad that we did since there are actually cases with cribriform and low Decipher that I recently saw. I forgot where I saw it, but I remember that I was than doubly happy that we did Decipher. We would do it even if insurance did not cover it and even if it was this outrageous amount. It is such an important test !!! It is just that I know that it could not possibly be this amount. This hospital is charging arm and leg for everything ! Even doctors that work for this hospital make comments on that and advise patients to do lab and MRI etc. in a WalkIn labs and other clinics.
