Good afternoon Richard,
My wife's TKR occurred approximately four years ago. Your description of the nerve issues created by the surgery is entirely accurate. She now experiences near constant pain due to saphenous nerve damage and resulting neuroma.
Working in the medical field, she has been proactive in seeking relief.
The information from a half dozen orthopedics she has consulted largely advises to wait for improvement or pain medication which she generally avoids. Her condition has been exacerbated due to the time passed. The purpose of this comment is to emphasize that "time is of the essence", which you appear to recognize. This is key and you are very insightful.
My wife is now a patient at Mayo (FL) where there is research and therapies being conducted on this issue.
We wish you the best possible outcome.

Thank you for your reply
It confirms my research
So sorry your wife has experienced pain for so long
Check out Dr.Shi at Mayo FL
He has done a lot of studies on this type of nerve pain and developed a surgical fix for this problem.
Best wishes
Richard
