SH*T!! I will look this up. Some of those foods are mainstays, but if it is causing the PEM/Fatigue, I will have to change my diet. I am tired of waking up feeling like I survived some catastrophic event. Thanks everyone. Hang in there.

@diverdown1. I will be the contrarian. There is a lot of scientific debate on what does and doesn’t cause problems around histamine. The app I’ve referenced “intolerances” is very good (and German) at pointing to the foods/drinks that are highly debated and why they are highly debated, sometimes stating “no scientific evidence exists”. One other thing about the app. It states milligrams of histamine per portion. That’s extremely helpful when you want a little of something (like balsamic vinegar) allowing me to stay under my target of 4 milligrams per day. 4 milligrams per day is reported to be average histamine intake. It’s rather hard to navigate things and achieve goals without a number.

Yes, healing by diet can work if you stick with it. I have taken my Hashimoto’s inflammation way down doing this. You reach a point where it’s just not worth eating whatever it is that’s bothering you. I hope this works for you, it did for me. Good luck!

Not everyone is allergic to these Nightshades, it’s just a group of foods I listed from my doctor. I do eat some on occasion, but when I do, it’s not always pretty! I do stay away from eating Gluten, Dairy and Soy, as I also have. Hashimoto’s and those foods are inflammatory to me.
