Hi ... I am in a study taking ethambutol + Azithromycin and either arikayce or placebo (no rifampin). I was also concerned about starting treatment and whether the docs would want to stop the humira so my immune system would not be suppressed. They said NO absolutely stay on humira since it has kept crohns in remission, and all the more reason to treat, so the Mac would not progress or spread (disseminate, which is rare but serious).
My Crohn's Dr works with my expert BE Dr, they share patients who have both.
Do you plan to aggressively follow up on the RA factor? That can indicate other autoimmunity, not just RA.

Yes, have an appointment with Rheumatologist again. RA high in 2023, went to Dr who said No RA but did not look for anything else, ugh. I have done my research and BE, bronchiectais also triggers high RA, but could also be something else. First RA flare up in knees, walking two miles one day, painful walking across the room. I knew I had some form of inflammation in 2023, but nobody cared and I was not in pain. Game changer, I am in it. Not ready to slow down yet. Only 79. Thanks
