Hi Marie! I have the MEN1 mutation. So I’ve had tumors in multiple places of my body. People who have mutations on tumor suppresser genes don’t have easy lives.

According to Dr Norton, my surgeon, my pancreatic tumors were “scary” yellow and large, He said they hadn’t determined if the cancer spread to the lymph nodes yet. Fortunately it had not spread. So I did not need treatment. He also said the cancer would come back in 10 years. He was right! I have a 7mm tumor and a 2mm tumor in the pancreas. As of last year, my tumors are stable and well differentiated. So they don’t scare me and don’t worry about it. I just stay in the moment and try to have fun.
