I’ve been ordering the organic pitted prunes in bulk online from Taylor Brothers Farms in CA and they are fresh and delicious and the price if you buy bulk is excellent. I happened to be ordering more today and was on their website. There is lots of good nutritional information and more about prunes here. I would have thought they were high sugar but evidently they are a low glycemic food. I had no idea they were so nutritious (I realize Taylor Brothers wants to sell their prunes but still…). If you are curious and want to know more about prunes check out this website.

Just FYI, if my math is right...Sunsweet prunes at Costco ($9.99 for 3.5 lbs) are only $2.85/lb. Bulk purchase at Taylor ($50.00 for 5 lbs) is $10/lb. If you belong to Costco, Sunsweet is a much better value.

Thanks for the information - I definitely will check them out. I am an ole disabled senior citizen, but it sounds very interesting I'm going to check them out. Have a good day.
