let me explain u i did surgy in other places BUT in the pancreas it will harm the spleen and chemo did not respond only a BIT The pancreatic lesion was 2.2 x 2.2 cm in Feb, in June 2.1 x 1.8 which is a small decrease SO wen i harm the spleen in a cancer patient it is a hi chance to DEI also if it relapse IN IT IS A VARY HI CHANCE IT WILL BECUSE ALOT OV TIMES STAGE 4 IS RELAPSING it is vary dangers WITH OUT A SPLEEN AND now she still have CANCER NEAR her naik THAT woes not being ABLE TO REMOVE WITH SURGEY I am doing now 3f8 with small dose of chemo and proton radishen so i don't now wot to do IF the scans will cume out not good in the pancreas

So sorry but you are wrong. My spleen was removed in 2007 with a third of my pancreas. I am 18 years post op now. You can live just FINE without a spleen. Talk to a doctor at Mayo. They will second this. Get surgery if humanly poss. Tumors in the pancreas must be CUT or lasered out! They can do most with laperscopes and that type of surgery doesn’t even hurt.
