I have lots of pain from lots of nerve damage. i get much releif using a couple of small portable wireless TENs units. They are annoying and very sticky, they bother my skin, they fall off, they show under my clothingsometimes but they do help...amazingly well. it is my understanding the electrical pulse interupts the pain signal my nerves are trying to send,. My doc says what I'm getting is a "Peripheral Nerve Stimulator", to help the pain from my SI joint area and lumbar spine.

I have chronic pain from a worsening scoliosis, spondolithsesis and nerve entrapment at L4-5. Prednisone injections and radio-ablation haven’t worked. My doctor and I have talked about a TENS unit. She recommended I find one with the following characteristics:
1.) dual channel capability
2.) multiple program settings
3.) adjustable pulse width frequency
4.) timer function
5.) rechargeable battery
6.) easy to read display.

Do you know of any TENS units with these capabilities? Which one have you tried? Is it effective?

I appreciate any advice you can offer.

I"m reallyl glad you found something that actually helps you. Do you have a trade name for these units? I'd like to ask my doctor about them.
