Are you speaking about a spinal cord stimulator? I have had 6 spinal surgeries and the last two neurosurgeons I have seen both recommended a Spinal Cord Stimulator. I haven't done it yet so I am interested in finding out what other's have to say. I do have a friend who had one implanted about three years ago and she said it helps with her pain quite a bit.

I have lots of pain from lots of nerve damage. i get much releif using a couple of small portable wireless TENs units. They are annoying and very sticky, they bother my skin, they fall off, they show under my clothingsometimes but they do help...amazingly well. it is my understanding the electrical pulse interupts the pain signal my nerves are trying to send,. My doc says what I'm getting is a "Peripheral Nerve Stimulator", to help the pain from my SI joint area and lumbar spine.

I am trying to get a SPRINT for nerve pain in left hip. It seems safe by all the research. Let me know how you do, I can’t get in until November! I have tried drugs, tens machines, injections, with no relief except from Tramadol.
