Interesting suggestion on low dose naltrexone. Perhaps this could offer a solution. Any side effects?

Also, what were your skin issues? Rosacea? Acne? Other?

Lastly, did you also have some wheezing after eating certain foods that also produced more mucus? For me it's the combination of stress and sugary foods or simple carbs that make me wheeze and causes increased phlegm for a couple hours. Albuterol inhaler helps a bit but it really just takes time for it to slow down.

LDN SIDE EFFECTS I HAD- Low dose naltrexone did give me quite vivid dreams (not nightmares) for about two weeks. It initially made me quite tired so I took it at night. After the initial week or so, it gave me insomnia so I started taking it in the daytime prior to 3 pm and it worked just fine. It does give you a boost of energy (when it lets your body create endorphins again) about 1.5 to 2 hours after taking it. I am up to 4 mg per day and take 2 mg about 10 am and again at about 2 pm so I get a small boost of energy twice a day...some people feel this as anxiety but for me it is just fine. If you try LDN...get it compounded into a liquid so you can start at a low dose and work your way up. This will also allow you to take it multiple times a day if that works best for you,

My Long COVID skin issues included rosacea triggered by simple carbs, sugar or alcohol (pretty much gone on LDN), at least three different types of skin rashes including extremely itchy small raised red bumps (pretty well gone on LDN, Lysine and daily applications of colloidal oat cream lotion), and extremely dry skin as my normal skin oil barrier pretty much dried up. We did biopsy the itchy red raised bumps and it was not shingles but it does respond to a low dose of Lysine. LDN also got rid of a pre-COVID problem with yeast on my skin and it minimizes my inflammation and, therefore, my pain...if I don't overdo simple carbs or sugar.

I did not have wheezing after eating. I still have days when I have shortness of breath but it is nothing like it was the first year after having COVID.
