Self Catherizing While Traveling

Hello,
I use an intermittent catheter twice a day. For a long time I have noticed (what I will call debris for a better word) in the tube . . . sometimes a little and sometimes a lot. I mentioned this to my urologist and he said it was normal. He mentioned it was the "body's reacting to putting something foreign into your body"! I am not sure I understand or believe this. It doesn't seen right.
Anyone else experience this?
Thanks!

It’s the lubricant.
