It isn't the procedure that is the problem it is the doctor. I had HoLEP January 21 2025 and I had NO pain. I was 81 years old at the time with a prostate of 201. They removed 3/4 of my prostate. Did you ask the doctor before the procedure was done how many procedures he had done?

My doctor is a well know surgeon in the place where I live, and has made more than 1,000 surgeries. If you look closely at - surgeons can adopt several strategies to minimze dysuria in HOLEP - you will understand that the problem can be attributed to the equipments used too, like laser energy used, for example.

While experience may help, everyone thinks they had the BEST doctor if they had a positive result. This is simply not true. In my last five years I have been given medicines that my body could not tolerate several times. Others take these same drugs daily for years without issue. Thanks for your concern. Some things are out of your control. You should have learned this by now.
