Have you ever tried Flecainide to control the A. Fib? I ‘ve been using it for years with good results. My migraines are caused by cervical dystonia, and to the best of my knowledge are not related to A. Fib.

I was never prescribed an anti-arrhythmic prophylactically. I did take amiodarone after my first ablation, which very clearly failed inside of six days. The ER internist managed to get ahold of my very busy electrophysiologist and the two agreed to put me on amiodarone right away. I don't know why, and questioned why amiodarone (I knew of it and its dangers, and is why I challenged the prescription...politely), and why not propafenone, flecainide, Multaq, or diltiazem. I'm guessing my EP wanted me on a big hammer to get my heart back into rhythm. It worked, and I was able to cease taking it, under instruction, about ten weeks later. I had a second ablation about four months later, which has me in NSR to this day (25 months now).
So, no, never a PIP for me. I have continued to take both a statin and a DOAC on advice, even though my CHA2DS2-VASc score is less than 2.0 (I think it's a 1, maybe 1.5 with some argument).
