Thanks again Kaitlyn. I really appreciate your willingness to share your experience and strength with us. The Vyepti infusion was not considered until we tried all supplements, accupuncture, physical therapy, Botox and the pain medication options. Riley was young and we tried to get her to use some mindfulness, relaxation techniques. Another diagnosis was celiac so when all of the restrictive diets and supplements didn’t work she was told that she has to stop eating gluten products. That was a blessing now she can address that condition. Sounds like many people are being diagnosed with other diseases when looking for help with these headaches.

@determineddad I was looking through some of my medical stuff to find the name of another test I had. It was a bubble test to check my heart. It was to check for a hole in my heart. The diagnosis is called Patent Foramen Ovale. It usually closes right after birth. Mine was discovered when I was 36. With no issues. It turns out closing it at the time was not the best option. I still haven’t had it closed and don’t have plans to do so. But it could be worth a shot at least to rule out. There are so many things that can cause migraines. Especially with women. Hormones, diet (I’m glad you got one diagnosis), birth control, menstrual cycle, puberty, sports/exercise, social, emotional, mental state, weather, spinal fluid levels, blood pressure, comorbidities, so many things. I’m so incredibly sorry for Riley! She has a great dad fighting for her. Good job Dad! My husband tells me to try anything & everything because maybe something will help at some point. And things change over time. And it can take years to figure out triggers and helpers. And those can change to. Keep going! Try all the things and multiple times. I’ll keep you and your family in my thoughts.
