I have arthritis in my spine with muscle spasms. I find that flexeril 5 mg (prescription) helps and also Voltaren
Gel and then a Bed Buddy heat pack (Amazon). Quercitin also helps me. This is a supplement for inflammation.
I take Tylenol for pain as I cannot tolerate any of the NSAIDS (Motrin, Advil, Aleve).
Soaking in Epsom Salt can help as well if you are able to get into a tub.

I’m not really supposed take those either because I have issue’s with my kidney’s.
I find that warm shower’s help but only temporary.

Similar conditions. Currently using Pain Management Doctor, trigger point injections did help with the muscle spasms but over time results vary, pain in the thorastic and lower part of the back , also use back patches with Lidocaine. Temporary relief with patches. Seems like there are lots of temporay relief. Also exercise. Will try the Voltaren and the Flexeril. What type of medical specialist has worked best ?
