We discussed it at length. Went back and forth. Although the surgeon was mostly positive he laid out the negatives. The length and location of the stricture near the bladder neck was a complication. If procedure failed it would make future options much bleaker. I decided to hold off and see if I could cope with the incontinence another way. After trying all the worst alternatives, I discovered the clamp. The urethral balloon was a success, and the clamp allows me to do everything the AUS would and more. I can sit on a hard bench without any discomfort. And there is no hardware inside me that may need adjustments &/or replacements.
