Mauk- you got a positive test result for Covid ? Was your symptoms that bad ? I thought you were talking a minor cold here . For sure ... with Covid it irritates Protate gland I have read . Best not to get yoru PSA for a couple of weeks as per the RN at Dr's office . I got covid overseas in the Philippines in 2020 . My experience wasn't all that bad . It was also like a cold for 2 night intense , but after that nothing to speak of for symptoms . When I got back to Canada I had to take 2 shots or my passport would be stalled ( I am a Commercial pilot ) . Took the covid shot and then , tested positive for Prostate cancer (3+4, PSA 4.0 ) . My PSA spiked since covid shot , I had a PSA with company physical 6 months before being stationed in the Philippines - normal . After Covid shot - not normal and PS of 4.0 !!! I am suspicious !

Interesting - did you test PSA after COVID or just after you got shots ?

In general, COVID can effect PSA , and shots could possibly do the same but it would be highly unusual that a shot effected PSA and full on COVID infection did not .

That virus is nasty IMHO, and only time will tell what else it can cause on a long run.

My husband had very stable 3+3 and very stable and slow rising PSA over more than a decade until he got first the COVID infection at the end of August 2024 and than some other nasty respiratory virus just a month later. PSA jumped 2 points out of the blue. My husband had COVID shots regularly and they never effected his PSA in that way BUT, one never knows.

One of the members here got lung mets (as I remember) after 20 (?) years of remission post cytokine storm due to COVID.
