yup been my take for the last 6 or so years, but I will say I have found a day to day shoe that tops all the rest, a bit trendy but the most comfortable shoes yet. the Hoda Bondi 8 is the only shoe that would come in a bonna fide 4 and 5 x width, the toe box is massive and would accommodate a shock but now I am down to finding a sock that will absorb sweat and odor. but I just cant seem to find socks that are not confining, light or thin enough to take care of that

I have started using bamboo socks. Lightweight and extremely soft! From Orthofeet company. They are for neuropathy.

Orthofeet has some socks created for neuropathy that are super soft and loose in the toes. They are probably more expensive than they should be, but they are comfortable! Actually, so are their shoes. I remember that feeling that my sock was bunched up under my feet.
