Congratulations on catheter removal! I got mine out five days ago. Follow your team's recommendations. They don't want you to strain the new plumbing. I'm slowly doing kegels while peeing as Dr. Walsh mentioned in his book. But I also spent two months doing them before hand and can tell it made a difference.

I did have a slight setback with a bladder infection. Was leaking like a hose for a day while the bladder was screaming at me. Antibiotic and Azo make me feel wonderful and I'm peeing like a teenager again.

Hang in there...it seems to be two steps forward and one step back on the road to recovery.

Congrsts on your progress. I also did Kegels for six weeks before surgery, which is why I had expected at least some control. I hope they will help once I restart them.
