Update: After the block wore off more on day 4& 5 , the groin & hip pain intensified so much that I was unable to sleep for multiple nights. Tried heat, ice, meds except the oxytocin which makes me nauseous. I decided to try stretches today plus prescribed low dosage tramadol script to try. I was able to nap this afternoon. Surgeon said she had not heard of my issue before but given my previous back/ sciatica issue she suspects it’s inflamed from surgery & positioning. I’m thankful the pain is not constant & fingers crossed for a decent night sleep.

I hope your groin/hip continues to heal. I was worried about this - broke my hip (fractured the ball at the top of the femur) 2 years ago, and the significant adduction they did during that surgery has a residual that I doubt will go away. I asked them very specifically to be super careful with that right hip (on me) as they put me on the table. I couldn't imagine dealing with that pain again on top of this surgery. (The hip is still very limited in ROM).
I hope you can get some relief and /or physical therapy to get it closer to your usual, soon. How is your healing going for the surgery? @fos54235

@fos54235 The return and intensity of your current pain is just awful. Anytime pain interrupts one’s sleep as you’ve described I’ve been told by medical providers and physical therapists that this needs attention and treatment.

How was your sleep last night? Did the low dosage of tramadol and stretches help?
