I had responded to your post a few days ago, but I don't see it on the site, so I will try to repeat what I said earlier. I really appreciate your suggestion on how to cope with tremors/uncontrolled movements. Yours is the first concrete suggestion on how to cope since I was first diagnosed. The only direction I received from the neurologists at the University of Louisville medical center is to take 300mg of Gabapentin 3 times a day. It does help control the movements, but not so much with the stuttering and startle response. You say you are receiving treatment, and I would ask if you would be kind enough to tell me more about the treatment and which medical facility you are attending. Again, I really appreciate you reaching out to me.

@wilmslow my neurologist suggested that I get both mental therapy, and physical therapy. I needed to find therapists who are knowledgeable with FND.
I have found both. I’m not sure the physical therapy is helping me move better. I’m still stumbling around with my walker.

FND is compared to a computer software problem. Our brain is not broken but the software that connects the brain and our body needs to be repaired

Check out, fndhope.org they have lots to see on FND.
