Correct! https://www.goodrx.com/omeprazole/how-long-should-you-take-omeprazole#:~:text=How%20long%20should%20you%20take%20Prilosec%20OTC%3F,the%20right%20treatment%20for%20you.

Not to scare anyone (but, yes) but decades of omeprazole use accelerated/created my mother's osteoarthritis. Please be careful.

@mac786 My mama gave me the hiatal hernia, gastritis, and GI/tummy troubles unfortunately. What she and I do instead is a combination of:
1. No laying down or reclining after meals! Just done.
2. Low to no high-fat or high-acidity foods (tomatoes and fast food are the biggest culprits.)
3. Eating veggies first! Here's why: https://www.healthline.com/health/gerd/diet-nutrition#foods-to-eat:~:text=foods%20affect%20you.-,Vegetables,-Foods%20that%20are
4. We use more natural remedies for acid reflux: cat mint (or catnip) tea, aloe vera drink (no sugar), ginger chews, Calmicid antacids (chamomile, fennel, ginger) are great, and Nauzene if it's real bad.
5. We don't overeat or eat late at night. (At least 2-3 hours before laying down.)
6. Lower your stress. This is the biggest one! Whatever or whoever in your life is giving you grief, get rid of them if you can. I'm not joking..
