Memory Issues?
Am nearing 70. I have had a terrible memory all my life.
How do I know if I am even having memory issues?
In order for me to remember anything it has to be relevant. To memorize things I have always had to use relational, contextual, or visual memory to remember anything.
Anyone else ever considered this?

I don't like stereotypes of any kind. I think if a person has an issue treat them with respect. I may not be a teenager , but I am a person who has many things to offer anyone who I come in contact with. Today I sawed off limbs on three of my palm trees. Cleaned the yard up after it rained from things that fall from the trees..I have fixed 2 meals, cleaned up and straightened our house. I still have energy. I am not afraid of getting old. I just what to be connected to other's. My family, my friends and of course my spouse. I made Chilli and there is enough for tomorrow. I am always in love mode at home. That does not mean I don't have issues when my spouse says or does something ugly. I try to just go in the other room and turn on music and start to sing and dance. I return and my spouse may have forgotten what he said I just act like it did not happen. He remembers at times and apologizes. I have no control of Parkinsons, but I do with myself. I forget things sometimes but, I don't think it defines you. I just know sometimes I meet people and I think why are they not getting how to be polite and kind. Again, we have no control. Life is what you make it , Good and Bad! Thanks for all the comments. We all have things to offer, even if it is on this site.❣️

4 ReactionsI agree. I am 82 and my last wellness "exam" was done by a very nice lady who had a degree in Social Science.
