Had Grave'Disease, Stroke, brain bleed, partial paralysis,recoveresd,Aphasia. Epilepsy, lupus of the blood, Asthma, various allergies. Now diagnosed with RA and Breast Cancer. Two surgeries and put on Methotrxate , and put on Exemestane. Sick all the time and developing histamine intolerance to foods. Eat only chicken,potatoes,grapes,yogurt,broccoli,milk lactose free and cauliflower. Seems to become worse each day.Dr. recommends Pepcid, I have constipation which may then get worse. Am on many meds Lipitor, Keppra,Eliquis,Olanzapine,Clonanzapam ,Methotrexate 8 pills,Levothyroxine,Folic Acic,Calcium,Magnesium,Potassium,Vitamin D and came off of Predisone recently. Beginning to become depressed and also suffer from Anxiety disorder. Meds are ruining but also helping my body. Starting to affect my marriage which was great for 37 yrs. Anyone relate or offer advice? Losing hope. Tried exercise and meditation .
@scarzy1957 Welcome Mayo Clinic Connect! I am so sorry that you’re having such a difficult time right now. It’s bad enough to have 1 of these diseases, but then your body tries to work against you! Have you found any support group in your area? Or on zoom? I was diagnosed with EPI (exocrine pancreatic insufficiency). The doctor just tossed it off, as though it was no big deal. He left it up to his PA to give me information-which she didn’t. It’s been awful. So, I guess I figure it all out by myself.
You might try getting a 2nd opinion at a university medical center or a comprehensive medical center in your state. The doctors are usually a few steps ahead of local doctors; they do research, work with other doctors, and have your interests at heart. I now go to University of Colorado Medical Center, which can be a bit of a drive depending on rush hour.
