Anyone in Clinical trial for MEK Inhibitor IMM-1-104. NCT05585320?

Posted by sandyk62 @sandyk62, May 9 9:19am

Has anyone participated or currently participating in this clinical trial? Everything I have found looks promising. I’m considering participating in this study. The good thing is you get chemo and the trial pill. This is not a random or blind study. Any information anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Sending healing thoughts and prayers your way. We were fortunate to find this trial near our home in Virginia, we are working with Virginia Cancer Specialists and Next Oncology for the trial. He has so far had 2 chemo infusions and has been taking the IMM drug orally since 6/4. Thankfully, side effects have been minimal. He does think he is starting to lose his hair, but has not thrown up and has dealt with just some minimal nausea, which was controlled pretty well with medications. He's very tired, eating continues to be interesting, but overall we are thrilled. We are still looking into alternative and integrative solutions and treatments as well.

I will start the trial on July 7th. I’m so happy to hear that your husband appears to be handling the trial very well.
Prayers and hugs to you and your husband.

Wishing you the best as you start the trial. Some of the days are very long, the first month is super busy, but it seems to get better after that. We have our first scan in 2 weeks, praying this was impactful!

My husband began this trial on 6/4. He's about to have his 3rd chemo infusion, the IMM drug is taken orally each day. So far, so good...no terrible side effects and he's feeling OK. His tumor is not operable, so we are still investigating everything else we can find, including a trial in Spain for something called histotripsy. He has to have at least 8 chemo treatments before applying for that one. His tumor is inoperable due to impingement of major vessels so we are hoping this might be a means to get it out.

Are you aware that histotripsy is already available here in the US at multiple locations for treating metastatic pancreatic cancer tumors to the liver? The first site in the country was the Roger Cancer Center of the University of Michigan. In NYC, renowned Whipple surgeon Christopher Wolfgang at NYU-LangoneMedical Center and K. Steve Lee at Weill Cornell Medical Center-both in Manhattan perform histotripsy on pancreatic cancer patients and is covered by health insurance. Why go to Spain when the U.S. is the leader in this technology and has a proven track-record here?

Does the RM trial you are on cause skin breakouts or nail sores? Is an antibiotic prescribed at the beginning of the trial for this side effect?

Immuneering - this is my dream! I hope it works and thank you to those participating in the study. It looks like it doesn't have a limit on the number of treatments you could have already gone through? I just recently got rejected from a promising study that would have addressed my peritoneal cancer that might now have metastasized to my stomach because I had 12 sessions of 5FU in the past. 5FU was going to be paired with Zolbetuximab - drats! I do have an upcoming consultation with an IR to see if I still qualify for histotripsy. I'm on Naliri (I decided to take the steroid following day 1 of the onivyde) in spite of it playing havoc with my blood sugar and I continue to walk! I think it's helping the respiratory allergic reaction I had after my first session; however, prior to the 2nd administration of Naliri my ca19-9 measured at 8600, even though 2 weeks prior it was almost "just" 3000. I'm patiently waiting. God bless everyone!! Carry on Garth!

Thank you for your thoughts. Since I was first diagnosed last year, several people on Mayo Connect have been an inspiration to me, like yourself, gramaryanne, and marienewland. Thank you all!!!!!!

Very nice of you to say that! It's a battle we are fighting together, though from different fronts. Best wishes to you.

Have the RM drugs been a consideration for you? The pan KRAS 6236 drug?
