You hit it square on the head. I have vasovagal syncope, and at least three others in my family have it with the same diagnosis. If I can, I lay down, but usually sit down quickly. I appreciate all the information you sent on this subject.

I want to add that the symptoms are terrible. I usually had gagging attacks at lunch time, but once one started while I was out shopping. I deep breathed my way through it and managed to stop it. Horrible!
Humming is supposed to be good for the vagus nerve.
