Has anyone been prescribed EB-N5?

Hello again, Ed

EB-M8 does require a prescription, at least that's how got mine, but I have feeling that EB-M8 and EB-N5 as well as the other "medicinal foods" prepared by EBM Medical will shortly be available without a prescription. That's just a suspicion on my part.

I believe you know that I'm seen at two different neurology offices, the one, whom I'll call Dr. W., was where my PCP had first sent me when she began to suspect PN.

The other, whom I'll call Dr. B., was the neurologist I sought out because Dr. B. is also a physiatrist. It was Dr. B. who prescribed EB-N5 two years ago, and who only last month switched me to EB-M8.

It wasn't that long ago the first doctor, Dr. W., had never heard of these medicinal foods, but the last time I was at his office, his NP surprised me in saying, "Oh, yes, we've been hearing lots of good things about these various medicinal foods."

Apparently, EBM Medical, the manufacturer, has been visiting neurologists' offices promoting their products. That's why I suspect –– unless some dangerous glitch is discovered –– these medicinal foods will soon be available without a prescription.

Ray - OK, thanks for the information. I will be interested in hearing if the EB-M8 has any positive impacts. Good luck!
