My 'to-go' for any pain is is to make stronger the area of the body that has pain. It seems to have always worked -- especially midriff/back pains. It's also works like panacea!

I see you say no change in activities but pain is often a signal of weaker, un- or under-exercised limb or area. I'd have consulted a physical therapist, if you must.

I definitely agree with you, I do play soccer 2 to 3 times a week and have a bit of a home exercise routine when I can, as I have a 16 month old.
