Has anyone had improved T Scores with Forteo or similar medications? Any side effects though I didn't have issue with Fosamax or the generic, alendronate. Fosamax definitely was easier on my GI system than the generic but still tolerable and it worked.

I did the Forteo injections for 18 months. My Dexa after 12 months showed a 22% increase in bone density. I went from -3.5 to -1.9. I didn't have another Dexa after the full 18 months so I have no idea what it is now. The injections were easy. I had some side effects fatigue, brain fog and weight gain but that is worth not having any more compression fractures. I did a Reclast infusion (done yearly) to "lock in" the gain.
