Curious as to your dose and side effects. Tamoxifen recommended for me as I refuse AI. I am thinking I will cut 10 mg tab in half to start to see if side effects. They are doing a study on lowered doses because side effects are stopping treatment at current doses

My new oncologist has cut my dose to 10mg from the 20mg my previous oncologist prescribed. I am taking a break until my horrible side effects stop. I only took the 20mg for ten weeks and am surprised it stays in my body this long. This is one week without the pill and I started feeling somewhat better yesterday. Today about the same. I do not like that the side effects stayed strong for a week after stopping. I would really rather skip it if it's only a 50/50 chance of returning but have not approached my new oncologist with this subject yet. I like and trust his knowledge and his answering my questions and listening to my problems. I feel we will work the meds out together. I read a lot of good reviews about him prior to switching oncologists.
