I was diagnosed this spring with a 4.7cm ascending aortic aneurysm and a bicuspid aortic valve. I went to a cardiologist and they said it's in the moderate category and they will recheck it in a year. I have been working to get my blood pressure down but I have a lot of anxiety thinking about waiting a year to
recheck it. It's hard but I will wait as long as possible to have surgery.

I feel the same as you and checking out a second opinion, but having difficulty getting into major hospital system with a good cardiology department specializing in aortic aneurysms. Are you on a blood pressure medication?
