I’m so sorry you’re going through this. As a caregiver myself, I think my best advice I can give you, is prepare for your doctor visit so that you write down all the questions that both the patient and the caregiver have.
As the caregiver you have to stay in the moment and take it one day at a time. For my husband and I, once we knew the whole treatment plan , we broke it down into segments, the first four sessions of chemo, etc., the next step, etc. it helps us stay in the moment and not have our minds. be overwhelmed by the enormity of everything.
Fortunately, he has been through four chemo sessions and has had minimal side effects. The most impactful was fatigue.
Best wishes God bless.

Thank you so much for the encouragement. I have decided that one day at a time is all I can handle without going crazy. Good to hear your husband has had minimal side effects. I hope all is going well.
Thank you again and so much for the well wishes. I send you my best as well.
Hugs!
