Be aware that just about every specialty still are learning about long term affects. Unfortunately if they can't get to the bottom then you're shipped to another specialty.
I have suffered since 2-2022, even spent 2 weeks at Mayo and still left with an inconclusive diagnosis.
It's frustrating, depressing and sometimes you experience PTSD with all the gaslighting from physicians.
I would much rather a doctor tell me I don't know then to make me feel either crazy or unheard.

I would love to hear more about people's experiences with Mayo clinic and how the approach LC, given that this IS, after all, a Mayo cliic discussion board!

Sure this will be classified as a slow advancing terminal disease at some point. The inflammation migration throughout the body organs is becoming an obvious major long term issue.

Ha! Indeed-- I so agree with you. My best docs are able to say... wait for it... "I don't KNOW" ( gasp! ) So many of us want answers to un-knowable questions, and egos are tied up in all of this too. Long COVID from 3/2020, and
My experience: Most drs who cannot find an answer become impatient and often will blame the pt. This illness is politicized and many don't want to deal with it at all.
