So according to The American Cancer Society the survival rate to 5 yrs is 13% for distant recurrence. Beyond the immediate area of the cancer, considered stage 4. Based on what my own Dr told me for survival it tracks. I was told that I could maybe see my son graduate college ( he just graduated HS) if he accelerates all of his classes and doesn’t take summers off… I might get to see him graduate. I plan on sticking around longer though and feel like positive thoughts and prayers will get me there…. Along with healthy habits! This was from 2020, but can’t find anything more positive.

Thank you very much for your reply. I was confused by your statistics as the 13% survival is associated with stage 4 cancer — I guess there are variations within stage 3, but stage 3c seems to have increased survival versus stage 4 but even stage 4 has been shown to have long term survival as that statistic shows. Every year that goes by shows more and more effective treatment options including the benefit of having a personal trainer / consistent exercise. Thanks again !
