@kitten701 Ouch! I'm sorry the rough ride caused you so much pain. Due to the delay in spotting your post, some days have passed - is your leg feeling any better?
One thing I can assure you - a rough ride in the car will not damage a replacement hip any more than a natural one - I have had mine for nearly 20 years, and they have survived hard falls in the garden, on concrete, even from my bicycle. The muscles, on the other hand, could be really unhappy if you tensed up trying to stay in place.
Did you see a doctor, and is the pain improving?
