I would appreciate clarification of the statistic you provided. Are you saying 15% of right sided colon cancer who are women die by 5 years or are you saying 85% die by 5 years. It sounds like you are saying the latter and I have never seen a statistic like that anywhere. It would be helpful if you could provide your source for that. One has to be careful with data as many of the studies are old and even if they report their findings in 2023-2025, the actual studies may have been from 2008-2015 when treatments were different.

So according to The American Cancer Society the survival rate to 5 yrs is 13% for distant recurrence. Beyond the immediate area of the cancer, considered stage 4. Based on what my own Dr told me for survival it tracks. I was told that I could maybe see my son graduate college ( he just graduated HS) if he accelerates all of his classes and doesn’t take summers off… I might get to see him graduate. I plan on sticking around longer though and feel like positive thoughts and prayers will get me there…. Along with healthy habits! This was from 2020, but can’t find anything more positive.
